paging katie ford

What's going on with their YouTube channel?

It looks like a startup agency's profile. I only recognize Chanel Iman and um, Bre Scullark.

Ford of today does not have the same distinction that it had in the days of Eileen Ford and her girls back then, the likes of Ali MacGraw, Lauren Hutton, Jean Shrimpton, and Cheryl Tiegs.

Ajuma Nasenyana, Camilla Finn, Chanel Iman, Flavia De Oliveira, and Nataliya Gotsii are the few visible Ford girls left. It seems like the agency is stagnating.

So why is it that Ford models fly the coop?

Ford had the lion's share of the big and stellar models back when models weren't the big stars that they are today. There were less agencies and less models. I don't think the agency has managed to keep up with the changing of the times. Their current stable is ripe with gorgeous models but most are hardly stark raving hot! I wonder if Eileen still has a say in their model scouting strategies. If so, perhaps she should take a step back and let the younger ones take over. What was hot and editorial back in the 1950s and 60s can hardly be called the same in 2007, can it?

And their model portfolios are not for public viewing? Why? When bigger agencies with more impressive rosters of models unselfishly share their models' portfolios to the public? I find that hilarious!
